On the 23rd June Urban Spree will play host to 3421, a live electronic duo from Israel who have proclaimed themselves as the rock and roll of generation electronic. That’s a bit of a bold statement, but when you see these cats live on stage, you can see where they’re coming from. And we’re not talking about the mountainous northern city of Israel they call Haifa. Whereas most forms of live electronic music these days come out of a laptop, these guys churn out their dirty electronic music physically- with drums and all- thus encroaching on band territory. We managed to steal a couple of responses from the soulful robots on their continuing tour of Europe ahead of their gig this Sunday at the Urban Spree.
You played here at the Urban Spree a couple of months ago. What do you think about the place?
Mad place! it’s awesome to have a spot where art spaces, galleries and music mix together one space. and it’s a killerrr spot to.
How have your performances and music been received during your tour of Europe?
It varies.. like last gig in Potsdam (Spartacus) on the last tour was awesome, and Jena (Kassablanca) on our ’12 tour was 10 out of 10, from the hospitality to the energy of the crowd and DJ selection before and after the show. But then there are some spots where you feel something went wrong with the promotion and the organizers view of the evening, when you find yourself playing the wrong gig. But in general, Europe always have massive sound systems, and it feels like people are open for nu musical experiences.. especially outside the big cities

Franskild is a collaboration between two Denmark based Swedes, Love Ojensa and Tim Söderström. When these two get together, collectively they create an utterly fresh and new branch of deep house that is as current as it possibly can be. They are strongly influenced by the blissful sounds and magnificence of the early 80′s house tunes, mixed with early ’90s break beat French wave, tipped with mid-00′s contemporary garage and combined with the highly influential Jacking house.
Their upcoming EP “Eden” will be released August 1st . You can listen ”Shards” here .

The young Parisian duo LOGO is back! Last year, they released their highly praised “Jacob & Fabrice” EP. The track “Fabrice” was such a success with its strangely attractive video produced by Alice & Virgile, that we decided to re-release it with a bunch of exclusive remixes and a brand new artwork, fitting the atmosphere of the new EP.
Rhythmic and daring, Fabrice has won over the greatest DJs who played it all around the world. With their absorbing sounds and wide atmosphere, LOGO signed a very heavy hit there.
